Event & Fantasy Make-up Training

For make-up artists with vision, daring, and an eye for imagery.

Are you ready to elevate your make-up skills to the next level? Do you want to create looks that are not only beautiful, but also expressive, surprising, and tell a story?

The Event & Fantasy training is for those who dare to think outside the box. During this intensive course, you will learn to work with texture, color, shape, and 3D techniques. You will discover how to translate fantasy into wearable or theatrical make-up and simultaneously build a strong portfolio with guided photoshoots.

Each lesson consists of an inspiring demo and a creative practical session on a model. From Lash Couture to drag glam, from monochrome looks to skull art — this course is a visual feast for those who see make-up as an art form.

You will conclude with an exam moment: the Editorial Lab, where you will translate a mood board into a fully developed concept. The ultimate test of your creativity, technique, and storytelling.

This training is ideal for those who:

  • already have basic experience in make-up
  • want to grow towards events, editorial, fashion, and conceptual make-up art.

🗒️COURSE CONTENT

During this program, students learn a variety of challenging techniques to create imaginative makeup looks perfect for events and parties.

Expertise Development: Each lesson begins with an engaging demonstration by TomVmakeup, followed by a hands-on makeup design session. Here, you'll receive personal guidance to make clever, creative choices in putting together your look.

Hands-On Experience: In the second lesson, you'll put everything you've learned into practice on your own model, followed by a professional photoshoot or video shoot. Perfect for enriching your portfolio!

🚀 Ready to Start?Our training is divided into two fascinating parts:

Each part lasts eight weeks, full of inspiration, creativity, and professional guidance. Are you ready to bring every fantasy to life and start or boost your career in the makeup industry?

  • 17 training days of +/- 3 hours each
  • 8 professional photoshoots
  • Maximum 10 students per group
  • All courses take place at the Academy Baron Opsomerlaan 17 in Lier.

PART 1 EVENT

  • Lash Couture – Create extravagant lashes from unique materials such as paper, fabric, and resin.
  • Opulence Masqué – Mask and makeup design come together in a luxurious baroque fantasy.
  • Tactile Beauty – Experiment with textures: glitter, gloss, powder, flowers, and 3D objects.
  • Theatrical Archetypes
    Archetypes from theatre brought to life with makeup. Emotion, form, and theatrical exaggeration are central.

PART 2 FANTASY

  • Monochrome Muse – Work within one color palette and learn to play with tone, depth, and texture.
  • Neo Skull – Create unique skull interpretations, from graphic to glow-in-the-dark.
  • Wild Instinct – Design an edgy look inspired by animal shapes and characteristics.
  • Drag Royalty – Grand, glamorous, and over the top — from brows to contour.
  • Editorial Lab – Exam assignment: create your own look based on a given mood board.

💄MAKE-UP KIT

These lessons are taught using the standard beauty kit and some additional products.

You can find both kits in the shop.

The make-up kit is not mandatory. Upon registration, you will receive a list of products used during the lessons. You can supplement your own make-up kit or work with a self-assembled kit. The stated price of the make-up and/or brush kit is an estimate (seasonal). Students who have already completed the Beauty course will need some additional products.
