This course focuses on makeup artists, beauticians, hairdressers and make-up artists who want to focus commercially on make-up artistry.

You need a good basic knowledge of beauty make-up to be able to follow these lessons.

These lessons are taught using the standard beauty kit and some additional products.

You can find both kits in the shop.

The make-up kit is not mandatory. Upon registration, you will receive a list of products used during the lessons. You can supplement your own make-up kit or work with a self-assembled kit. Students who have already completed the Beauty training will need a few additional products.

The Beauty Advanced course differs from the Beauty 1 course in that you work on complete looks in almost every lesson. This course emphasizes beauty makeup but also provides room to step out of your comfort zone.

With a view to the possibility of taking entrance exams for the event team, during the course you will come into contact with challenging festival looks and advanced techniques. This course is designed for students who want to refine their skills and are ready for a higher level.

To determine if this course aligns with your skills, you can answer the questions below. Can you confidently answer “yes” to all questions? Then you are in the right place in the Advanced course. 1. Do I consider the right colors for the right look, and do I know how to make a difference?

2. Do I have a good understanding of the construction and proportions of the eye, face, eyebrows, and lips, and do I know where I can make adjustments to create a balanced makeup look?

3. Do I no longer have any questions about the structure of my ‘beauty’ makeup applications?

4. Is my makeup long-lasting and does it not crease, and do I know exactly what to do to prevent this?

5. Do I have good knowledge of which products to use for a specific texture and the corresponding finishes, and do I know how these influence my end result?

What if you cannot attend a class day?

No worries! Most advanced lessons are also available as detailed online lessons that you can watch whenever you wish. If you miss a lesson, you will receive the online version, so you can prepare for the next lesson and ask any questions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to physically catch up on the missed lesson at a later time, should you wish to.

What do you need to follow the lessons?

A fully equipped makeup kit is essential. The TomV Academy makeup kit contains the same products your instructor uses. You are free to use your own products, but keep in mind that the end results cannot be guaranteed if, for example, you do not have enough colors of concealer or other necessary items in your kit.

The right product supports you as a makeup artist. A “wrong” product, on the other hand, can be a limiting factor in achieving a successful makeup look.
