• Beauty lovers who want to learn how to apply makeup techniques on themselves
• Individuals with a busy schedule who want to learn a lot in a short time

Would you rather not work on yourself during class? Feel free to bring a model.

During this course, you will learn all the basic techniques to create beautiful and varied beauty makeup.

• Hygiene and sampling
• Product knowledge
• Cleansing and caring for the skin (skin prep)
• Day makeup
• Brow correction and filling
• Highlight & contour techniques
• Eyeliner & lip corrections
• Color theory
• Classic eye makeup

Makeup kit

For this course, you will work with your own makeup and brush kit.

You can assemble this yourself or choose from the affordable student kits available through our webshop.

Certificate & feedback

During this Summer Class, there will be no exam, so we can focus entirely on practical work and additional techniques.
Of course, you will receive extensive, personal feedback during the lessons.
If you still wish to take an exam afterwards to obtain your certificate, this can be arranged with your instructor at a later date. To make the most of the time and teach more techniques, we will not hold a photoshoot for this course.

MAKEUP KIT

These lessons are taught using the standard beauty kit. You can find the kit in the shop.

The makeup kit is not mandatory. Upon registration, you will receive a list of products used during the lessons. You can supplement your own makeup kit or work with a self-assembled kit.

Are you unsure which course to enroll in?

The Beauty Course covers all the basic principles, but in a more challenging way than most other make-up courses in Belgium. According to student feedback, everything is explained in depth, so you truly understand what is expected of you and don't just copy techniques.

To help you determine if this course is right for you, you can answer the questions below. If you can confidently answer "yes" to all questions, you can contact TomV to consider if an advanced course might be a better fit for you.

Ask yourself:

1. Do I consider the right colors for the right look, and do I know how I can make a difference?

2. Do I have a good understanding of the structure and proportions of the eye, face, eyebrows, and lips, and do I know where I can make adjustments to create a balanced make-up look?

3. Do I no longer have questions about the build-up of my ‘beauty’ make-up applications?

4. Is my make-up long-lasting and does it not crease, and do I know exactly what to do to prevent this?

5. Do I have a good knowledge of which products to use for a specific texture and the corresponding finishes, and do I know how these influence my end result?

What if you can't attend a lesson day?

No worries! All lessons are available as detailed online lessons that you can view whenever you wish. If you miss a lesson, you will receive the online version, so you can prepare for the next lesson and ask any questions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to physically catch up on the missed lesson at a later time, should you wish to.

What do you need to follow the lessons?

A fully equipped make-up kit is essential. The TomV Academy make-up kit contains the same products your instructor uses to teach. You are free to use your own products, but please note that the end results cannot be guaranteed if, for example, you do not have enough shades of concealer or other necessary items in your kit.

The right product supports you as a make-up artist. A “wrong” product, on the other hand, can be a limiting factor in achieving a successful make-up look.
